Virginia Moffatt was born in London, one of eight children, some of whom are also writers. Her eldest brother has just published a book about theology, her eldest sister is a poet, and her twin sister a successful writer of commercial fiction. Virginia Moffatt was born in London, one of eight children, some of whom are also writers. Her eldest brother has just published a book about theology, her eldest sister is a poet, and her twin sister a successful writer of commercial fiction. Virginia has always wanted to write, but has only taken it seriously in the last decade. Since then she has studied for a diploma in Creative Writing at Oxford Department of Continuing Education, attended a Faber Academy weekend, a Guardian Masterclass weekend, and the York Festival of Writing. She has also completed one novel, Echo Hall, which she is submitting to agents, and the first draft of a second The Wave as part of Nanowrimo, which she is about to start editing. Virginia has had stories published in several on-line magazines, Evolve, Blankpages, One Million Stories, and a couple of anthologies. She has co-written a play Atos Stories which was performed by Act Up! Theatre Company in 2013. She lives in Oxford with her husband, Chris, and their three children. See less
