Valerie Coulman's award-winning children's books including When Pigs Fly (2001), Sink or Swim (2003), and I am a Ballerina(2004). This Saskatchewan-native has degrees in both linguistics and theology, and volunteers regularly, working mostly with mothers and children, who both challenge and inspire her. Valerie is a member of both CANSCAIP and the CCBC.
