Val Brooks

Val Brooks is a lecturer in the Institute of Education at Warwick University where she is involved with the PGCE Secondary Programme. Previous to this, she worked in schools where she had experience of working with student teachers and as an examiner and moderator. Her research interests include assessment and school-based initial teacher training and, in this text, she combines these two interests.
