Tsutomu Nihei

Tsutomu Nihei won the prestigious Jiro Taniguchi Special Prize for a short story that eventually led to his 1997 series BLAME!. BLAME! and its prequel NOiSE won accolade after accolade, and that success led to Nihei working with a wide variety of properties, including the global video game phenomenon Halo and pop culture juggernaut Marvel Comics. He has since written and drawn spooky, inventive, and intricately detailed manga such as Abara, Biomega, Knights of Sidonia, and Aposimz.
