Torquil MacLeod

Torquil MacLeod was born in Edinburgh and brought up in the north east of England. After a brief spell as a teacher in Worcestershire, he worked in advertising agencies in Birmingham, Glasgow, and Newcastle, subsequently becoming a freelance writer in 2000. He lives in Cumbria with his wife, Susan, and two totally unproductive hens. They also have two sons and three grandchildren.
