Tiya Miles is the Michael Garvey Professor of History and Radcliffe Alumnae Professor at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University and the author of All That She Carried , which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction and the PEN/John Kenneth Galbraith Award for Nonfiction.
