Tatsushi (Tats) Arai is associate professor of conflict transformation at SIT Graduate Institute. Previously, Tats taught at George Mason University and the National University of Rwanda. Tatsushi (Tats) Arai is associate professor of conflict transformation at SIT Graduate Institute. Previously, Tats taught at George Mason University and the National University of Rwanda. As a trainer, mediator, and dialogue facilitator, Tats has led a number of peacebuilding workshops for government personnel, members of international organizations, and civil society leaders from around the world. He also serves as a dialogue facilitator of Strait Talk, a series of semiannual conflict resolution dialogues aimed at fostering a new generation of peacebuilders from Taiwan, Mainland China, and the United States. Tats is a research fellow of the Toda Institute for Global Peace and Policy Research in Hawaii, an advisor to Global Majority, and a member of TRANSCEND, a global network for peace and development practitioners.
