Susan Turk Charles, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine. Her research focuses on life-span trajectories of emotional experience, and the associations between physical health and emotional well-being. She currently serves on the SPIP NIH grant review panel and is a member of the executive board of Division 20 of the American Psychological Association. She also serves on the editorial boards of the "Journal of Gerontology: Psychological Sciences," "Psychology and Aging," and "Emotion," She has authored paper over 25 journal articles and book chapters.
