Susan Nelson was a scholarship art student, a jewelry designer, a photo editor, a magazine columnist, a mom to four children (two boys and twin girls), and a wife. And she did all these things before breast cancer - already treated once - came back and ultimately took Susan's life when she was only 42 years old. As cancer invaded Susan's bones, liver, lungs, and eventually brain, making it more and more difficult for her to live a normal life, she refused to sit and do nothing. Between chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Susan raised thousands of dollars with her jewelry for cancer charities, took care of her family, and raced to write this novel. And while cancer took Susan's life before she could write the final chapter - which would set the stage for the follow-up book - it was still an accomplishment she was justifiably proud of, and she would be excited to know you are reading it.
