Sumit Saxena received his PhD in the area of computational materials science from the Interdisciplinary program in Materials Science and Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Sumit Saxena received his PhD in the area of computational materials science from the Interdisciplinary program in Materials Science and Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Thereafter he joined as postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign before moving to the Department of Physics at Harvard University as Postdoctoral Fellow. He joined Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India, in 2011 where he is currently assistant professor in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science. He has worked on first principles simulations of the electronic properties of materials and has published his research in leading journals along with presenting his work in leading international conferences.
