Stanford Apseloff writes for children, young adults, and anyone interested in art, nature, or wildlife. As a child and young adult, Stan never had an answer for the question, "What do you want to do when you grow up?" After changing majors in college five times, he obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Finance from the Wharton School of Business, then an MBA Degree with Honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and a Juris Doctor degree from the Ohio State University College of Law. Stan began a career in management consulting, but abandoned that to start a software company specializing in health/nutrition software and children's educational games. Then he discovered wildlife photography and traveled the world, including trips to Antarctica, Madagascar, Botswana, Nepal, Amazon Forrest, Serengeti Plain, and various remote islands. Along the way he discovered a passion for writing, and published four books based on his wildlife photography, including the multiple award winner African Animals Alphabet Book. Stan also wrote two books on the artwork of Michael Cheval, the artist who later illustrated Stan's novel, The Third Syzygy. See less
