Stan Yockey -Outdoorsman and Chef An avid outdoorsman, Stan has hunted and fished for fifty-plus years, and is a "life" member of the North American Hunting Club. He has harvested multiple species of big and small game; multiple species of upland birds and waterfowl; many dozens of species of salt water and fresh water fish, plus a variety of shellfish and mollusks; and has prepared an array of appetizers, salads, entrees, and side dishes showcasing his harvests-most using recipes of his own creation. Stan's outdoor pursuits have included forays with his parents, friends, and family, in the Pacific Northwest in his early years, and in the Southeast over the past decade. While growing up in Seattle, Stan worked in several respected restaurants, including The Golden Lion and The Edgewater Inn, while earning a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from Washington State University. After graduating, he shifted his business focus, spending twenty years in contract management with The Boeing Company in Seattle, Washington, followed by ten years with Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, Georgia. Stan currently divides his time between work as a business management consultant and his continuing pursuit of outdoor and culinary adventures from his home in Northeast Georgia. See less
