Stan Beckensall
Stan Beckensall has lived just over the border, in Northumberland, for the last 35 years, but he has undertaken a great deal of archaeological research in Cumbria. He is one of the leading English authorities on rock art, being the widely acclaimed author of British Prehistoric Rock Art (Tempus 1999) and Prehistoric Rock Art in Northumberland (Tempus 2001).
