Shirley Ward has been an eclectic psychotherapist, healer and trainer for over 45 years. She has lectured and run workshops at the United Nations in Vienna, England, Russia, France, Ireland, Europe and the United States of America. Shirley lives, works and writes in Ogonnelloe, near Killaloe, County Clare in Southern Ireland. Educated at Bedford College of Physical Education, Leicester and Nottingham Universities she has for the last forty years explored and researched fetal consciousness and life in the womb as taught by the British psychiatrist Dr Frank Lake. Using her exceptional gifts of condensing and synthesizing many aspects of human relations, alongside scientific and technological advances, she explores aspects of the cosmos, universe and human evolution to find answers to remove the unwanted negative patterns which lead to the destruction of planet earth by humankind. Her research shows that our lives are governed by our experiences from conception to birth. Simple techniques like meditation, art and newer therapies may help remove negative patterns from the pre and perinatal period whilst gentle birthing practices and awareness of life in the womb may lead to humankind treating each other and the planet with compassion within a culture of kindness. What we see we have created and what we wish to see we can recreate. We are learning that we live in the universe but the universe is also within us. The universe is true for all of us but different for each of us. She is recognized in the European 'Who's Who in Catholic Life' and the International Biographies Directory by Cambridge University for her work in Psychotherapy and Pre & Perinatal Psychology. She is also in the Cambridge Blue Book promoting those members of society who have brought success and excellence to their local, national or international arena. Her main mentors and influence - Dr. Frank Lake, Alison Hunter, Rosalyn Bruyere, Jean Houston and the work of Teilhard de Chardin. Some of the papers she has delivered since 1998 include Birth Trauma and Bullying, History of Birth Trauma in Adults and Children, Retrieval of Birth Memories, Pre & Perinatal Psychotherapy (PPP), Suicide and PPP, Healing Birth to Heal the Earth, The Use of Chakras in Psychotherapy, Schizoid Personality Disorder, Narcissism, Journey Through Pre & Perinatal Psychotherapy, Pre & Perinatal Psychotherapy, and Suicide and Pre & Perinatal Psychotherapy.
