Dr Sharif Kanaana received his MA and PhD degrees in Anthropology from the University of Hawaii. In the course of his academic career, he has held teaching and administrative positions at the University of Hawaii and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and at Birzeit University and Najah University in Palestine.
