Shanna Compton

Shanna Compton is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently (CREATURE SOUNDS FADE) (Black Lawrence Press, 2020). Her work has appeared in the Nation, American Poetry Review, Academy of American Poets Poem-a-Day, McSweeney's, Best American Poetry, and elsewhere. Born and raised in Texas, she spent a dozen years in New York City, where she earned an MFA from the New School. She is the founding editor of Bloof Books and works as a freelance book designer in Lambertville, NJ.
