Scott Zamek is an American novelist best known for the travel memoir One More Horizon, an account of the author's 25,000-mile journey around the globe on a mountain bike. Scott Zamek is an American novelist best known for the travel memoir One More Horizon, an account of the author's 25,000-mile journey around the globe on a mountain bike. During the three-year odyssey, Zamek was taken prisoner by the Syrian Secret Police, left for dead in the Gobi Desert, and interned in a Pakistani immigration camp, among other misadventures. The journey spanned five continents, forty countries, and all of the major deserts and mountain ranges of the world--an estimated 5.8 million pedal strokes. His recent works include full-length novels in the fantasy and science fiction genres, including the acclaimed fantasy novel The Light of Endura and the forthcoming sci fi adventure Singularity.
