Author Scott Spoonmore grew up, and still lives in, southern Indiana with his wife of 37 years, Joanne. They have two children and three grandkids. Scott has always had a love for the big rigs. When he was a young boy, he would spend hours on end playing with toy trucks in his sandbox, which was made from an old tractor tire. Scott remembers visiting his grandparents often and watching the big tractor-trailers speed past, hearing their tires sing on the pavement, the sound fading in the distance. He often wondered where they had been and where they were going. He wanted to be a truck driver when I grew up. Being a former over the road truck driver and spending nearly 40 years in the trucking industry, along with being a grandfather, gave Scott the inspiration to write children's stories. While he was working on his first story, he was having trouble coming up with a name for his main character. His wife suggested Seymour. He knew immediately that was it, so Seymour the Semi was born. It is Scott's hope that children have as much fun reading his stories as he had writing them. Keep on Truckin' Scott Spoonmore See less
