Sandy Nairne is a writer and curator based in London. From 2002-15 he was Director of the National Portrait Gallery, London, where he oversaw the expansion of its exhibitions and an increase in its annual visitors to 2 million. He has worked as Director of Exhibitions at the ICA, Director of Visual Arts for the Arts Council of Great Britain and Director of Programmes at Tate.
