Dr. Rosario Ordoñez-Jasis ' primary scholarly interests are framed within the socio-cultural-political contexts of literacy and learning. She works with teachers, parents, community members and administrators to reveal how language, identity, and culture impact school-based and community-based multiliteracy practices. Dr. Rosario Ordoñez-Jasis has presented her applied research at national and international conferences, and published in journals such as Journal of Latinos and Education, Language Arts, Urban Education, Young Exceptional Children, Multicultural Perspectives , and the Journal of Early Childhood Teacher Education .
