Rod Williams has published poetry, short stories, essays, and music reviews over the past twenty years. "An Americana Singer for the Twenty-First Century" is his first novel. Rod Williams has published poetry, short stories, essays, and music reviews over the past twenty years. "An Americana Singer for the Twenty-First Century" is his first novel. He has been a member of numerous writing groups and organizations, most recently the Unknown Writers of the Antelope Valley (California) and the Professional Writers of Prescott (Arizona). He was the founder and host of the monthly spoken word series "That Literary Jam Thang" in Palmdale, CA and co-editor of the annual anthology of local writers of the Antelope Valley. Rod has also taught many creative writing workshops and classes, most currently as an instructor for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) in Prescott, AZ. He has worked in the fields of mental health and adult literacy, and is Past President of SCLLN (Southern California Library Literacy Network) and WORD, AV ("Write Often, Read Daily, Antelope Valley"). Rod has lived in New York, Colorado, Florida, California, and Arizona. He now lives and works with his wife Darcie in the Eugene, Oregon area. See less
