Robert LaGamma, a seasoned diplomat, served the US Foreign Service for over thirty-five, primarily in Africa and Italy. His career culminated as the USIA Director for African Affairs during Mandela's presidency. He was recognized with the Edward R. Murrow Award for Public Diplomacy.
