Robert H Dott

After Robert H. Dott Jr. fell in love with the mountains of the western United States at an early age, he studied geology at the Universities of Oklahoma and Michigan and earned a PhD at Columbia University in New York. He spent two years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and then joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin in 1958. Among his many publications is Evolution of the Earth , a pioneering undergraduate textbook now in its seventh edition.
