Rifat Sonsino, scholar and rabbi, is spiritual leader of Temple Beth Shalom in Needham, Massachusetts. Ordained at Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion, he holds a degree in law and a Ph.D. in Bible and ancient Near Eastern studies.
