Dr Richard Reece retired from the Institute of Archaeology, University College London, after 30 years of teaching and research. He is the author of, among many works, The Coinage of Roman Britain (Tempus2002), and a frequent contributor to Channel 4 'Time Team'. He is a long-time resident of Cirencester.
