Renée Alsarraf, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), became the Director of Veterinary Cancer Services at Animal Emergency & Referral Associates in Northern New Jersey in 2002. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 1991. Renée Alsarraf, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology), became the Director of Veterinary Cancer Services at Animal Emergency & Referral Associates in Northern New Jersey in 2002. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 1991. During her years as a student, she established the university's Pet Loss Support Group, which continues to help bereaved pet owners today. After receiving her Doctorate, Dr. Alsarraf completed a one-year internship, an oncology residency, research studies and additional radiation therapy training at the Animal Medical Center in NYC. She also participated in additional research studies at Memorial Sloan Kettering and radiation therapy training at the University of Kansas. Dr. Alsarraf has authored several journal articles and oncology texts and has participated in many oncology studies in conjunction with Cornell University. She lives in Clifton, New Jersey. See less
