Regis Boyer

Regis Boyer was a professor of Scandinavian languages, literatures and civilisations at Universite de Paris-Sorbonne from 1970 to 2001. He also headed the Institute of Scandinavian Studies of this same University. A fervent admirer of Nordic literature, he is a world-renowned expert on Northern European civilisations and has authored a number of studies, translations and books on Scandinavian mythology. He has also translated texts from Norwegian, Swedish, Icelandic and Danish into French.
