Ray John De Aragon
Ray John de Aragón served as the activities director at the University of Albuquerque. He served as president of the New Mexico Spanish Colonial Arts Guild, an organization dedicated to the preservation of the traditional Hispanic folk culture, music and dance. Ray John was actively involved with the New Mexico Arts Division and was appointed to serve on the New Mexico Arts Council and the New Mexico Arts Alliance by former governor Susana Martinez. Ray John de Aragón also founded the Southwest Hispanic Culture Festival, which was held at the Armand Hammer United World College of the American West. He was the literary chairman of the Feria Artesana, the largest Hispanic arts festival in the country, held at the Albuquerque Convention Center and sponsored by the City of Albuquerque. See less
