He has been certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law and served on the Certification Committee for Immigration and Nationality Law of the Florida Bar from 1998 through 2004. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and past president of AILA's Central Florida Chapter.
