He has been part of numerous teams developing innovative programs in sexual abuse counselling, prevention, and social service delivery, as well as training counsellors and educators in the field. Lady B to the Rescue is the third in the Allowed to Say NO! trilogy about personal safety skills for young children regarding touch. In retirement, he lives with his wife and fur kids on Vancouver Island. In his books, and when he goes into the classroom, Ralph teaches children that: If you get a No Feeling you're allowed to say 'NO!' and ask adults you trust for Help! Lisa Shim has a background in Applied Arts and Design at Vancouver Island University. She utilizes her expressive artistic talents to elevate every story and captures the hearts and imaginations of her audience with her animated illustrations. Lisa was the illustrator of the first two books of the Allowed to Say No Series; Lady B Spots Trouble and Lady B's Safety School. She has also illustrated two other children's book series: I am Like A Tree and Spring Adventures. Beyond her illustrative work, Lisa teaches English as a Second Language to children.
