Ralph A Weisheit

Ralph A. Weisheit is a Distinguished Professor of Criminal Justice and Outstanding University Researcher at Illinois State University, where he has been employed since August of 1982. Ralph A. Weisheit is a Distinguished Professor of Criminal Justice and Outstanding University Researcher at Illinois State University, where he has been employed since August of 1982. Dr. Weisheit received his PhD in sociology from Washington State University and has been named a Fellow in the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences for his contributions to teaching and research. Dr. Weisheit has appeared on the CBS news program "60 Minutes" and in the PBS documentary series "Frontline" on the issue of domestic marijuana cultivation. He has authored or co-authored six books, including "Crime and Policing in Rural and Small-Town America" with David N. Falcone and L. Edward Wells.
