Margaret Marsh is the creator of the Shakespeare with Noodles series. She has a MAT degree in English and Theatre. Most recently she worked as the costume designer for Hastings College. As an artist in the schools and community she has directed actors of all ages. Shakespeare with Noodles is a program designed to be young people's first introduction to Shakespeare. Costumes and prop pieces are constructed from swimming noodles. Utilizing melodrama and slap stick comedy, the shows are fast paced. All titles in the series have a playing time of under 60 minutes. As the daughter of a Brit. Lit. Professor, Margaret says, "I was bound to love Shakespeare; it's in my genes. Taming of the Shrew is the first play I ever remember, I was seven. Understanding Shakespeare is like learning a second language; the earlier you start, the easier it is. I always wanted to direct kids in Shakespeare but I needed a hook. I found it in a swimming noodle." In 2010 Shakespeare with Noodles debuted with MacBeth. "People really didn't know what to make of us, or the group's name, but now we've developed quite a following." See less
