Priscilla Caplan is assistant director for digital library services at the Florida Center for Library Automation. There, she spearheads the implementation of MARC and non-MARC based metadata systems for OPACs and other digital library applications. Priscilla Caplan is assistant director for digital library services at the Florida Center for Library Automation. There, she spearheads the implementation of MARC and non-MARC based metadata systems for OPACs and other digital library applications. She has also worked as the Assistant Director for Library Systems at the University of Chicago Library and as head of the systems development division at the Harvard University Library. She also served as director of the Chicago Public Schools-University of Chicago Internet Project, and as lecturer at Dominican University's School of Library and Information Science. A member of the Dublin Core Advisory Committee and Chair of the NISO Standards Development Committee, she has published extensively on metadata and the Internet. Caplan earned her master's degree in library science from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. See less
