Petros Bouras-Vallianatos

PETROS BOURAS-VaLLIANATOS is Associate Professor of History of Science at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has published widely on Byzantine medicine and pharmacology. His most recent monograph, Innovation in Byzantine Medicine: The Writings of John Zacharias Aktouarios (c.1275-c.1330) (2020) has been awarded the Prize for Young Historians by the International Academy of the History of Science.
