Peter Tompkins was born in autumn of 1965 in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Chardon, Ohio where he attended Chardon High School. After graduating high school, he attended Ohio University to study Graphic Design and Business Management. Peter Tompkins was born in autumn of 1965 in Cleveland, Ohio and grew up in Chardon, Ohio where he attended Chardon High School. After graduating high school, he attended Ohio University to study Graphic Design and Business Management. Upon getting his Bachelors in Fine Art and Business Management he spent a short time working in Corporate America as a Telecommunications Support Technician and Call Center Representative. In late 2007, he decided to quit the rate race start his own business. Skating Bear Studios was born. There he integrated his eye for composition, design and photography to create stunning visual compositions. Peter is also a singer/songwriter and author of over one hundred and fifty original compositions. As an avid Beatles fan he was inspired to learn to play guitar and write songs. He got his first guitar at the age of fifteen and has been performing as a solo acoustic performer in front of audiences since his early 20's. His writings incorporate his love for the rock group The Bealtes, his time working in a call center and his upbringing in northeast Ohio. See less
