Professor Dr. Peter Heusser was born in 1950 in Brienz, Switzerland. He received specialized training in family medicine, including internal medicine, surgery, and pediatrics. He also trained in anthroposophic medicine at two Swiss hospitals. Professor Dr. Peter Heusser was born in 1950 in Brienz, Switzerland. He received specialized training in family medicine, including internal medicine, surgery, and pediatrics. He also trained in anthroposophic medicine at two Swiss hospitals. For 15 years, Dr. Heusser worked in the outpatient department of the Lukas Clinic, an oncology hospital providing conventional and anthroposophic medicine. Also for 15 years, he was affiliated with the Medical Section at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland, networking for research in anthroposophic medicine. For 14 years he was lecturer and Head of the Department of Anthroposophic Medicine at the Institute of Complementary Medicine (KIKOM), University of Bern, Switzerland, involved in preclinical and clinical research. Since 2009, he has been Professor and Chair for Theory of Medicine, Integrative and Anthroposophic Medicine, as well as Director of the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Witten, Herdecke, Germany.
