Peter Brazaitis
Peter Brazaitis was born in Brooklyn and went to work at the Bronx Zoo in 1954. He was named assistant curator of New York's Central Park Zoo when it reopened in 1988, and later became curator. He is the coauthor of World of Snakes, The Fight for Survival, and Snakes of the World. Now retired, he lives with his wife, an animal behaviorist, and son in Harwinton, Connecticut.
