Peter Bacon Hales

Peter Bacon Hales (1950-2014) was professor of the history of art and architecture and director of the American Studies Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition, he was a photographer. His academic work focused on specializing in American history, culture, spaces, and landscapes, as well as the history of photography and contemporary art. His photographs were;exhibited widely throughout the United States.
