Dr. James previously served as the president of the International Studies Association (ISA). His interests at the international level include the causes, processes, and consequences of conflict, crisis, and war. With regard to domestic politics, his interests focus on Canada, notably with respect to the constitutional dilemma. Dr. James holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Maryland.
