Pascuala Herrera was a Professor and Accessibility Specialist at Harper College for 30 years and now is a full-time consultant and award-winning author of a memoir titled Not Always a Valley of Tears which is also available in Spanish. Due to childhood polio, she is physically disabled and uses a motorized wheelchair. She received her BA and M. ED from DePaul University in Chicago. She is a frequent local and national presenter on the topic of her life experience, disability awareness, motivation, diversity, equity and inclusion, and the importance of education for individuals with disabilities and Latino students.
