Paolo Portoghesi
PAOLO PORTOGHESI was born in Rome and is a professor of Urban Planning at Rome's Sapienza University. He is the author of numerous publications on Renaissance and Baroque Architecture and Art Nouveau, and on the problems of modern architecture. From 1983 to 1991 he was the president of the Venice Biennial.
