Having mastered the craft in the mid 1950' she accepted an invitation to teach weekend courses at Missenden Abbey in Buckinghamshire; invitations came for classes throughout the country. Demand for courses in Europe, America, and New Zealand followed. She has always taught traditional English lace and uses South Bucks bobbins fashioned from beech trees in the Chiltern Hills.
