Norman Badler is the Rachleff Professor of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Norman Badler is the Rachleff Professor of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his BA in Creative Studies Mathematics from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1970, his MSc in Mathematics from the University of Toronto in 1971, and his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 1975. His academic research involves developing software to portray and animate 3D computer graphics humans, both individually and in groups. He has supervised numerous PhD students, many of whom have become academics or researchers in the movie visual effects and game industries. At home he enjoys baking and being Ginny's sous chef.
