German's scholarly articles give new insight into the works of Gwendolyn Brooks, Zora Neale Hurston, Ralph Ellison, Ernest Hemingway, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and other important American writers. His short fiction has been featured in leading literary and commercial venues, including Shenandoah, The Virginia Quarterly Review, Salt Water Sportsman, and Sport Fishing. His most recent work is an innovative vocabulary book, The Word on Words, which uses entertaining word histories to facilitate building a dynamic vocabulary. He is a professor of English at Southeastern Louisiana University. See less
