Nicolas Ardanaz enjoyed a 44-year career in education as a teacher, school principal, and superintendent of schools in Canada and in Europe. He holds a PhD in education and linguistics. Nicolas Ardanaz enjoyed a 44-year career in education as a teacher, school principal, and superintendent of schools in Canada and in Europe. He holds a PhD in education and linguistics. Of Basque heritage, Ardanaz had many relatives who suffered and some who were killed during the Spanish Civil War.
