Nicola Di Iorio was born in 1989. During his studies at the University of Bologna, Italy he spent a year abroad at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles, USA) before graduating (cum laude) in Industrial Chemistry in October 2013. Nicola Di Iorio was born in 1989. During his studies at the University of Bologna, Italy he spent a year abroad at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles, USA) before graduating (cum laude) in Industrial Chemistry in October 2013. Immediately afterwards, he started his doctoral studies on asymmetric organocatalysis, focusing particularly on unconventional axial chirality. In February 2017 he received the "Spada Award" for Ph.D. students who have distinguished themselves in productivity, innovation and scientific independence. Two months later, he completed his Ph.D. and is currently working as a postdoc at the Department of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Bologna. See less
