Educated in the UK, Nick Coghlan emigrated to Canada in 1981. He and his wife Jenny have sailed some 70,000 miles offshore, first in their Albin Vega 27, Tarka the Otter, then in Bosun Bird, a Vancouver 27. When not sailing, Nick has pursued a parallel career as a diplomat and was the first resident Canadian Ambassador posted to the Republic of South Sudan.
