Tom is a founding member and fellow of the Family Firm Institute in Boston, a professional organization serving the needed of family-owned businesses. For more than 10 years, he was a professional-in-residence and taught family business management at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is the published author of more than 50 articles and scholarly papers including a monthly column in the Twin Cities Business magazine.
