Daniel J. Monti, Jr. is Professor of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Saint Louis University. A graduate of Oberlin College and the University of North Carolina, he is a former Woodrow Wilson Fellow and has written extensively on matters of urban affairs, race and ethnic relations, American civic life, inner-city redevelopment, and youth gangs.
