He is Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Plants & Agriculture Research Journal, is on multiple journal editorial boards, and is a member of the Book Review Committee of Crop Science Society of America. He is an active member of the ASA/CSA/SSSA among others. He is a Certified Professional Agronomist and Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPAg/SS), designated by the American Registry of the Certified Professionals in Agronomy, Crop Science, and Soil Science and is a United Nations Consultant in Agriculture for underdeveloped countries.
